León brings extensive experience in providing legal and financial advice. He obtained his law degree from Universidad de Los Andes, Bogotá, Colombia in 1986. Additionally, he holds a Diploma in Legal Informatics from the Corte Suprema di Cassazione, C.E.D., Rome in 1987. He pursued further education with a Postgraduate in Financial Legislation in 1991 and a Diploma in Management from the Colmena Program, Universidad de los Andes, Bogotá, Colombia in 1994.
Throughout his career, León has held significant positions, including working as a foreign lawyer at Ughi e Nunziante in Rome and at Loeff & Van der Ploeg in Rotterdam. He has served as a Legal Advisor for trust business at Banco de Colombia from 1987 to 1989, Legal Director and Secretary General of the Colmena Savings and Housing Corporation from 1991 to 1995, General Manager of ECUHABITAT S.A from 1995 to 2000, and General Manager of LA HIPOTECARIA S.A from 2000 to 2015.
